It’s Makar Sankranti, a day known for flying kites and gorge on the mouth watering dishes. Our Telly celebs are also celebrating this festival to the core and cherishing their moments of the festival. We speak to pretty Drashti Dhami who is a Gujarati to know how she celebrates this festival and more with us…

Drashti says, “I used to celebrate it with my friends by going on the terrace and everybody from the building used to join us. I personally don’t know how to fly a kite but I enjoy the occasion fully as there used to music and food orgaznied on the terrace and it was total fun.”

“Since the time I joined television industry I have never got a chance to celebrate this occasion as we never got an off on Makar Sankranti,” she adds.

Further we asked her how is she celebrating Makar Sankranti this year and she says, “It feels nice to see many colorful kites in the sky and I love to celebrate this occasion however, I don’t know whether I will be flying kite today or not.”

Lastly conveying a message to her fans on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, she says, “Please be safe and careful when you fly kites because it might harm birds and can be dangerous for them. Enjoy to the fullest and a very Happy Makar Sankranti to all.”
